About the Sea Fishing tour

Welcome to Sea Fishing Koh Samui! Book this tour for a great day of fun for everyone. This simple, relaxing tour gives you the chance to experience a traditional (no frills) Thai fishing boat , whilst reeling in some (hopefully!!) big catches. This tour is excellent for beginners, families, or anyone just looking for a fun day out with the added bonus of some delicious fish, freshly grilled on board. Please note that this is purely a fun fishing tour and not for professional fishing

Fishing on a traditional Thai boat

This one day tour is great to relax and go fishing around Koh Samui in perfectly clear crystal water. We will take you on a genuine Thai fishing boat where your captain will choose the greatest spots for your best chance of netting some big ones. The cool shade on the boat will protect you from rain and sun. Don’t feel like fishing? No problem! For a discount you (or your group members) can also come along with us to just enjoy the views or to snorkel (weather and sea conditions permitting).

We provide everything

We provide all fishing equipment: the rods and lines, bait, trawling gear and lures. The boat has a ‘fish finder’ to try and locate as many fish as possible. During the day we also have a delicious Thai lunch on board. Enjoy fresh tropical fruits and icy cold drinks! We have a BBQ on board, so you can cook and eat whatever you catch. Do you want to take it home? That’s possible too. At the fishing spots there are also snorkeling areas. That’s why we supply snorkeling gear to explore the lovely underwater world of Samui and the surrounding area.

Where do we go fishing?

The locations we choose are entirely dependent on weather conditions and other factors such as where we can expect the best catch rate. Generally, the fishing occurs around the east coast and south coast of Samui, and as far north as close to the coast of Koh Phangan, but this will be evaluated on the day.

What types of fish can I expect?

Snapper, Mackerel, Barracuda, Shark, Cobia, Grouper, Sailfish, Trevally, Gar, and more.

About our boat

Our boat is a traditional Thai fishing boat, but does have the basic facilities such as a toilet on board!

Pickup times

• 8.30 – 8.45 Maenam area
• 8.30 – 8.45 Bophut area
• 8.30 – 8.45 Choeng Mon area
• 9.00 – 9.15 Chaweng area
• 9.00 – 9.15 Lamai area

Itinerary

• 08:30 a.m – 09:15 am – Transfer from your hotel to the pier
• Boat trip and fishing around the coast of Koh Samui
• Lunch with your last catch, cold drinks and fresh fruits
• Snorkeling, fishing and sunbathing on the boat
• 05:00 p.m – Arrival at Koh Samui and transfer back to your hotel

What should you know if you go on this tour:

If someone in your group does not feel like fishing, they can still enjoy this tour with some snorkeling and join the tour with a discount. The price is the same as for fishing children aged 5-11. Please note that this is purely a fun fishing tour and there is no guarantee that the catch rate will be high.
